" Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Lo who came from a fast paced city where adventure was around every corner. This big city was full of smog, palm trees, and neon signs. There were millions of people in this city, but the longer she lived there, the lonelier she felt.
Once there young boy named Benjamin who came from a land of calm winds and four seasons. In many ways, life there was quite simple. But, the boy grew older and one day decided to see what else the world may have in store for him. So he headed west in pursuit of the unknown.........Through an intricate combination of chance and circumstance, he found the young girl. The two quickly realized that their forces were much stronger together than they ever were apart.Lo was so inspired by her new found love that she went on to design an ice cream truck that would drive around the city (with another soon to follow in the other big city) and spread fun and magic..."

" Ben was so inspired by his new muse that he created a soundtrack of music for their truck and their life.On any given night they are on one mission or another.You might find them starting impromptu dance parties with their new ep out of the truck, or postering the city with inspiring messages....Or maybe hanging golden hearts from street lines....You never know.Together they stay home and tinker....playing games, creating wonder and sounds....Conspiring on their next plans of attack....You see, it is a very difficult task to navigate through the dark forces of the city in which they reside.You may think that once they found each other, the rest would have been easy.But, that is far from true. .During the two month long process of making the debut double ep, the two were tested in ways that normal human beings would think was out of a science fiction movie.....By clutching onto the thought that others would be inspired by their music, they were able to persevere and finish the project. The result is a collection of songs divided into two parts. Side A contains electronic dance/soundtrack songs. Side B contains electronic heartschallenger ice cream truck songs. All of the songs were derived from love songs left on answering machines, and some of the beats were made by listening to each other's heartbeat with a stethoscope. With a finished double ep and a truck stocked with international ice cream, candy and treats, what were the two to do next? In order to share their magic with others, they need assistance in spreading the word of the beauty they have created. Just remember, the greatest

Boy 8 Bizzle

Last friday Kissy Sell Out did his second show for "In new DJ's We Trust" on BBC'S radio one..
One track that completely blew my mind ( and still is @ repeat in winamp) is this brand new remix by the holy Boy 8 Bit. Boy 8 Bit AKA David Morris is not only the Black Ghost's guitar + bass player, IMHO he's one of the best new producers / remixers out there.
Oldschool breakbeats, a massive sub-bass and distorted organs. It's like an angel pissing in your ears.

Keep your ears open for this guy!

Bag Raiders' first release

After remixing some great bands like sneaky soundsystem , muscles and k.i.m , the Bag Raiders finally have their own e.p vinyl.
The Bag Raiders are Gus Da Hoodrat, Jack Sabbath and Chris Brave. All from Sydney, all with properly trained musical backgrounds. Jack and Chris both classically trained instrumentalists, and Gus trained by the niteclub, one hell of a dj , together live as the Bag Raiders they are pop perfection, dj, guitars, synth's and covers.

Kanye thinks D.A.N.C.E. video is genius, W.A.Y.F. still sucks

And now for some pop trivia. I bet it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he was recently allowed to "lend" a Daft Punk sample, but Kanye West is clearly in awe of the D.A.N.C.E. video (and rightfully so!), calling it "genius" and even claiming he wouldn't mind losing to Justice this year in the Video of the Year category at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 9th 2007.

But that what doesn't kill him, only makes him a whiner as he still feels robbed because of that MTV EMA 2006 outcome. Get over it, Kanye!

Fist off all, thumbs up for my blogmate Ronez who restyled this site from a fluorized child-blog to a seriously (looking ? :-P) blog.
So.. here we go. first post after a long time of absence.

It really surprised me no other site has blogged this track before..

In late 2004, DJ/producers J Bird and Olly G got together in an East London studio intent on creating an individual sound nasty enough to irregulate heartbeats and perforate eardrums on dance-floors the world over. The result was Devils Gun.

Devil's Gun - Gold Dust

The Duo's hard hitting productions provided a twisted amalgamation of Electro, Breakbeat, House and sleazy Synth-Rock which laid the foundations for the bands inception. Next came vocalists Jagga & Dominique, Jagga is resident MC for Anima Sound System in Budapest, playing to crowds in excess of 50,000 at all Hungary's major festivals. This year he was billed between Iggy Pop and Prodigy, last year it was Wu Tang Clan and Goldie. Dominique has written for and recorded with Paul Harris (Dirty Vegas), Dan Goldman (Morcheeba) and Cicada. The band was finally completed with the introduction of Adam Hyde on guitar and Manumission resident percussionist Don Bastardo.

And what about Boy 8 Bit? Well.. One thing I know is that this guy makes the best remixes out there at the moment. .

Dj Ayres and Tittsworth run a NY-based label called T&A. Their latest vinyl release is called Ultimate T&A. The purpose is to bring full-on Baltimore club tracks remixing funk and soul from the 70's. Their cast is impressive: Kanye West's dj A-Trak, Dj Taj aka Bamabounce, Dj Eli and ofcourse Ayres and Tittsworth themself. You can download track A2 and B2 right here, have fun and buy it. Funk Mundial The Third

MAN recordings is a young label. We like their tracks. We play them out. You should too!
Now, they have a line of releases called Funk Mundial. Their previous one featured Sinden and Count of Monte Cristal, which contained rrrrreal ravy baile-ramblin' fun. For Funk Mundial #3 they got the Italian Crookers for some serious fidget 'n baile crossover action. This is the first track of their new EP.

Acieeeeeeeed!!

Remembering this the first time it came round from old C90 tapes of Glasgow clubs & raves, it's now been remade by the fantastic DJ Pierre and quirky Green Velvet. It's got a great production, and is faithful to the original Phuture release, the first ever recognised 'acid house' track, released 20 years ago. It's almost 10 minutes long and has got cowbell. What a way to celebrate one of the most innovative and original bass sounds which is still used today. Need I say more?

PTNOTR is BACK!!

After a break of a month or so, we're happy to be back online again!!, and yes Roppenzo still part of the 6-strong crew of needlers. With a fresh design and plenty of new tracks shining through the summer festival haze, it's about time we got right back into blogging some of this years best and still to come music for dedicated ears. I have personally decided to limit my own posts to 128kbps, due to previous emails from artists and labels (not all bad!), since we are about discovery and promotion rather than piracy and damage to the artists' sales.

Getting back to business, here's track 2 off 'Oi Oi Oi' from Boys Noize' (a.k.a. Alexander Ridha), who'll be slamming it out at this years JerseyLive! festival, where hopefully i'll get the chance to meet and get a beer with the guy.
