NiguiriBeats are a D.J team born out of years of fervent record collecting, clubbing and, above all, listening.
Their passion for dj’ing is an old one, both members of NiguiriBeats have been spinning records for many years, however the idea of working together didn’t come up for a while. Martim bided his time singing, playing guitar and writing songs with several alternative rock bands while Chico dedicated himself to Public Relations and Bar work in several big clubs, playing the occasional D.J set in the Lisbon area.
NiguiriBeats have played in such places as Souk and Velvet (in the “Bairro Alto” area of Lisbon), Sushimoto (in Estoril where they have a bi-weekly residence) and in large clubs such as Tamariz, Coconuts Club and Paradise Garage. They also recently joined the roster of artists represented by the new production agency Smash and the future looks to be even brighter.
