Let's talk about sax baby..
Because I'm currently working on a list of my favourite tunes of 2006, it won't be bad to post my favourite track from ( almost ) 5 years ago..

When I hear a track like this for the first time.. I first have a thing like.."Hmmm..strange" But the next day when I listen it again, I simple have it on repeat for hours.
I liked what they did to the Klaxons vocals on "Atlantis Interzone" and again, I like what they did to this track.

My favourite Mash-up.
As you folks might know, I create some mashups myself when I have some spare time. Only problem is, when I listen to this particular track, I realize I'll never do a mashup sounding better than this. Phantom!
Everybody loves justice, including me!
I don't think they need an introduction anymore so I'll keep it short. Last saturday Paris was heaven as there was the Alors les filles.. party with Ed Banger Records and Institubes + special guest Thomas Bangalter.. If terrorists had thrown a bomb on the venue I had to stop listening to music because all my heroes were dead; well all of em except boys noize and the dewaeles :)

Stappen en uitgaan was tot 3 maanden terug echt mijn ding. The glitter on the snow..
In the few short years of production, his mash up bootlegs, remixes and DJ mixes have been heard on radio stations in the UK (XFM London & Glasgow) and beyond (Belgium, France, Germany, Holland and the USA so far confirmed !). It has been reported that a track has been played during half time at an LA Baseball Game to a crowd of around 6 0k.
Dun's "Hella Stella" ( Jam & Spoon vs No Doubt) is high on top in my all time favourite mashup list, so I visit his site as much as possible to see if there are any new tunes on it.. This one is just outstanding again:

I can't sleep at night..
Story: back in '99 I was out on a crazy night here in the Netherlands..
A lot of alcohol and stuff were consumed and me and my mates entered a club called "El Toro".. We were dancing like mongols on this tune.. totally freaking out.. next day I woke up with a headache and after 4 hours working I remembered I heard this really wicked tune..
Totally no idea about what remix of the Soft Cell tune this was, so 2 days later ( young and restless).. I went again and I spoke to the DJ about this track.. he told me it was the club 69 remix and he don't even like it that much.. (silly man) so I could buy the 12" for 25 gulden.. best buy I ever did. After 7 years, I am still in love with this tune.

C2C Live in Jersey
For a second time this year, Jersey clubbers got the chance to see C2C performing a wicked DJ set at the Watersplash last weekend. After an awesome 4-man workout at this year's festival, DJ's Atom and Pfel returned to the island's best venue for a night of turntablism.
After recording some crystal clear pre-show footage of them warming up, I was gutted to notice I hadn't saved the recordings, so had to grab some extra clips of them during their set to make up :)
The video show their first track when they started, and a beat-juggled version of 'Intergalactic' they slammed on nearer the end. A DAT recording of the full set might be heading our way soon :)
